T eachers and the VSPA Office will be taking measurements during regularly s cheduled classes. Sizes for the Showcase costumes will be assessed from t he measurements taken.
\nIf you would like to request a spec ific size\, please fill out and return this for m to the Office ASAP.
\nWe spend many hours selecting the costumes for each class. They are a lways age-appropriate and of the highest quality possible. Each participating class will require a desig nated costume. Costumes includ e all accessories (hats\, gloves\, etc.) needed\, but not tights or shoes.
\nNOTE: No jewelry or extra bits are to be worn with costumes. This includes during dress rehearsals and performances and when class pict ures are taken.
\nIn an effor t to ensure that costumes are delivered in time for school photographs and an organized distribution to our students\, costume orders are placed dur ing the end of February. Costume manufacturers do not accept cancellations or offer refunds\; therefore the school does not refund costume payments.
\nThe estimated cost of costumes is $65- $100. Any special orders\, exchanges\, including extra-large sizes\, may require an additional charge (determined by the c ostume company). Additional charges are the sole responsibility o f the parent or guardian. Tights and shoes are not included.
\nCostume payments are due by th e 15th of February. P ayments are paid through automatic withdrawal from your credit or debit ca rd account if you are signed up for this feature. Payments can be charged directly to your specified VISA or MasterCard or Checking Account.
\nWe will also accept cash\, checks\, or money orders for costume payments. Please write your child’s name in the memo portion of the check. If you p ay with cash\, please ask for a receipt.
\nNo refunds will be made if a parent or guardian withdraws a child from the school after costumes have been order ed and prior to the recital. Purchased costumes may be picked up at the sc hool during the costume distribution period and up to 15 days after the pe rformance. Costumes not picked up after 15 days will be donated to charity .
\nCostume measuring begins during the mont h of January\, during scheduled class times. All children will be measured in order to determine their proper costume size(s). Costumes are not custom designed for each body. They are stock sizes used by the Costu me Companies. We refer to their provided size chart to determine size. Before the second week in February you will be required to sign a confirmation form if you prefer to size the costumes yourself. You can mak e adjustments on the form\; however\, your signature indicates that you ta ke full responsibility for any necessary costume alterations.
