Does your performer want to be part of VSPA’s E3 song and dance troupes? Auditions are right around the corner. Here are the details:
- Be Ready to Dance! Bring your jazz shoes and wear dance attire with hair pulled back in a ponytail.
- Bring 16 – 32 bars of a musical theater or pop song to sing. Sheet music is required. (No cds, iPods, or a cappella auditions please)
- Applicants will also be asked to learn harmonies and sing them at the audition. (Details at the front desk in mid – November)
- Applicants should be currently enrolled in Jr Jazz 3 level
- Applicants should also be currently taking private voice lessons or choir class.
- E3 Transition year will be a January 2018 – July 2018 commitment.
- AUDITION MATERIALS
Come Dressed in Costume to class this week including proper tights, shoes, and hairstyles. This is our Dress Rehearsal!
Tickets will got on Sale Friday, November, 3rd
Teachers and the VSPA Office will be taking measurements during regularly scheduled classes. Sizes for the Showcase costumes will be assessed from the measurements taken.
Please Provide a Headshot and current theatrical Résumé
Please prepare 16 bars of sheet music in the correct key – Contemporary Broadway/Disney Broadway style. Reference the vocal range of the roles below. An accompanist will be provided. Please no CD, iPod or Acapella auditions.
There will be a dance audition after singing. You will be taught 4 – 6 counts of eight for the audition.
Be prepared to list any conflicts you’ll have with rehearsal schedule.
